The West End Brewery is established

Established by William Clark in 1859, the West End Brewery replaced Morcom’s Temperance Hotel on acre 66. The brewery was taken over and consolidated in the 1860s by William Simms and in 1888 amalgamated with Edwin Smith’s Kent Town Brewery to form the South Australian Brewing Co. It was demolished in 1982.
