Hindmarsh Square Congregational Church opens doors

The Hindmarsh Square Congregational Church, built on the corner of Grenfell Street and Hindmarsh Square, opened its doors in 1862 and with its twin bell towers became a dominant feature of Adelaide’s streetscape. The church would remain in use for more than 60 years.
